Necropolis Fan Art by jameszapata
Necropolis Fan Art
I’ve been wanting to do some fan art of Jake Wyatt's "Necropolis" like forever but never thought I’d be able to do it justice. So, behold. I have failed, anyway! I wish I could spend more time on it but it is truly time to move on.

If you don’t know the work of Jake Wyatt do yourself a goddamn favor for once in your miserable life and check it out. His comic Necropolis, along with all his other stuff, is amazing.

hey James, love your stuff.  I just signed my first contract as a graph D for a local record label.  They also do work with publishers so I am very excited to get started with them..  Pricing has not been brought up yet, and they were supposed to send me a proposed pricing list but haven't just yet.
Ive been asking around about this subject with some of the other people I know and one of the best answers I got was to purchase a copy of the graphic artist guild handbook for pricing and ethical guidelines,  which I have found to be fairly extensive and will help me out a great deal.
I know you do really good work so I was curious as to your take on this.  Im not really looking to get rich or anything, but I don't want to sell myself too short either. Some of these prices in here for things that I will be required to do... cd covers, logos, t-shirts etc., all pretty easy, but some of the prices in the book are kinda up there. Have you ever heard of the book, and was it a good buy, and should I implement this with my client or not?

  Thanks a bunch.

(p.s. don't look at my portfolio on here, shameful old relics of my early cs5 days.  Getting the hang of it now though..  Hard for me to paint, on or off paper, always been a sketch guy myself. pen and ink, but I am coming around.  SO much to learn though.)
